Fundraisers? Should I start selling Girl Guide cookies?
Your child has autism and the government is not going to be a lot of help. You have to do what you have to do. If you don’t have the funds to pay for treatment, you will have to raise the money somehow.
We all have friends and family who want to help, but may not know how. If you know someone who is socially talented and very organized; this may be the way for them to help. This is one job that can be delegated. Some ideas for fundraiser include:
- Garage sales
- Raffles
- Dances
- Community dinners
- Nude calendars (Don’t laugh. It’s been done in the UK)
- Casino nights
- Silent auctions
