This is something that will come as no surprise to anyone reading this site. A parent of an autistic child will encounter financial stresses that most other people will never understand. The pressures of providing good ABA therapy for your child will drive many parents to the breaking point (financially and emotionally).
It’s important to ask for help before the situation gets out of control. There are many worthy credit counselling agencies in BC, but not many that understand the stress that comes with having an autistic child.
The best suggestion that I can come up with, is to post on the Autism Support Network private Facebook group asking for suggestions in your area of good financial counsellors who may understand your concerns. Equally important, the Autism Support Network members can provide you with emotional support.
