GST
GST is not charged on certain items relating to the disability. If GST has been charged, then it can be claimed back. Refer to the CRA - Medical and Disability Related Information.

At the moment, Behaviour Consultants are required to bill GST for their services, unless they are billing the government directly. This is not something that you can claim back. There is legislation which may change that, but this is what we are stuck with for the moment.
 

Importing Goods

If you import goods from abroad that are specifically designed for use by persons with disabilities, they may be brought in duty free. I would suggest calling the nearest Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) office before importing the goods to discuss any requirements.
